Self care is important to view as more than an occasional treat. One should view it as a way of living each day that incorporates practices and behaviors that help you feel refreshed, re-energized, and rested.
Self-compassion is a part of self care. Self-compassion is being warm and understanding toward ourselves when we feel inadequate or fail rather than ignoring our pain or exaggerating our self-criticism. Self-compassionate people recognize that being imperfect, failing, and experiencing life difficulties is inevitable, so they tend to be gentle with themselves.
Do some form for self care daily. Stress is cumulative, so if you don’t deal with it today, your body will feel it tomorrow.
If you are easily bored, find several activities you can do or pick from.
